The American Congress has put Marijuana on the Controlled Substances in the year 1972. It was considered without accepted medical benefit. However, some insist that weed is highly dangerous and does not have an approval from the FDA and that it is addictive and could lead to using more potent drugs. Others say that it is a front for legalizing and using it for recreational purposes only.

The weed is considered as one of the safest therapeutic substances and no one in the history has died of it. A lot of patients claim that marijuana is very effective in curing migraine, arthritis, alcohol and opiate addiction, menstrual cramps and even depression. Research claimed that it is even safer than aspirin, Advil, alcohol, tobacco and French fries! Because of its proven medical benefits, fourteen states in the US have made it legal to use among patients suffering from chronic and serious illnesses.
